Departing employees and change of employment
When an employee leaves your employ they have have the option to continue to make superannuation contributions to their Maritime Super account.
If an employee leaves or changes employment type which affects their eligibility for membership of their category (e.g. a permanent employee changes to casual for a Full Participating Employer in the Stevedores division), you need to let us know. Complete the Termination/Change of Employment Advice form and return it to us.
If any employee for whom you have been contributing nominates another super fund as their fund of choice, you also need to let us know as this may affect your employee's eligibility to maintain membership of their existing membership category. You can let us know using the Termination/Change of Employment Advice form
If your employee is a defined benefit member of the Fund, you will need to use the Advise of Termination for Defined Benefit members form, as there is some additional information we will require to calculate their benefit.
